The National Examination Cancel (NECO) has released the internal results of the 2021 Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE).
Presenting the results in Mina, Nigeria, NECO registrar and Managing Director Professor Ibrahim Usisi apologized to the Nigerians for the delay in publishing the test results.
It is said that 878,925 candidates have earned more than 5 credits, including math and English.
Professor Samurai explained that this number accounts for 71.61 percent of the candidates.
Meanwhile, 1,226,796 candidates, regardless of math or English, earned 5 credits, or 94.04 percent. He said 23,003 candidates were involved in inadequate testing practices, showing a decrease of more than 13,000 compared to last year.
Professor Wushishi added that a total of five schools, one in Bauchi, Kaduna and Bayelsa and two in Katsina, were disqualified due to inadequate testing practices.
The results of the National Examination Board (NECO) have already been published and can be obtained from the results verification portal result.neco.gov.ng at the student’s convenience. Candidates who took the June / July or November / December NECO exams will continue to see their grades as the results are already available on the portal. Verification of the results requires an electronic signature that can be purchased from the NECO website, as described in the next section.

Procedure to check the result
The new result verification system is designed to make your application easier to use. To check the results, follow the steps below.
- First, please visit the NECO website (www.neco.gov.ng) with your exam registration number.
- Click NECO Results, then click Check Results. Refer to the NECO Results Verification System (www.result.neco.gov.ng) to complete the required details.
- Please select a test year. nl 2021
- Please select the type of exam. NS. Internal SSCE (June / July)
- Enter your signature and registration number in the right column
- When you have completed all the details, click the GO RESULT button to access your score.
