Singer, Rema rejoice as his song ‘Dumebi’ certified Gold in France (Video)
Nigerian young music star Rema’s 2019-released ‘Dumebi’ got a gold plaque award in France.
On Friday (June 3) Rema’s Dumebi was certified gold in France, the Recording Industry Association of France having confirmed that the song had crossed its threshold for a GOLD plaque award. This indicates that the record has sold 100,000 units in the country.
As a video later posted online also confirmed that Rema’s Dumebi is certified gold, it captured a delightful Rema receiving his plaque being presented to him by a member of the French organization. The video was shared online by an Instagram page dedicated to sharing day-to-day information of Rema.

‘Dumebi’ is one of Rema’s first mainstream songs, together with other songs like ‘Corny’, ‘Iron Man’, and ‘Why’, released off his debut and self-titled extended playlist, ‘REMA’.
His first song to go gold, the song introduced Rema to Nigerian music audience not only as a Mavin Records’ new signee but also as a game changer that was equipped with unique sound and vocal style and was ready to take over the industry with the awe-inspiring uniqueness.
