Nigerian music star and grammy award-winning artist Wizkid has finally responded to the rantings of Ghana dancehall artiste Shatta Wale.
Recall that the singer Shatta Wale whilst performing at his Freedom Concert at the Accra Sports Stadium burst out in fury berating his Nigerian counterparts including Wizkid. He slammed a lot of Nigerian artists over their inability to support Ghanaian artists.
Shatta Wale warned those comparing him to Wizkid and other Nigerian artists to stop because he can also fill up the stadium and he does not need Nigerians or Americans to prosper in music. His comment did not sit well with a lot of Nigerians who also took to Twitter to blast Shatta Wale.
Wizkid who gave his fans a fantastic performance at the sold-out concert he headlined in Ghana reacted to the rantings of Shatta Wale. According to him, he does not mind where and who people come from, the color of their skin, or where they hail from. What is important to him is that they are all one people.
He said: “Listen Ghana, I got a message for you tonight. Me, I don’t care if you are black, white, or even blue or purple. I don’t give a fuck, I will show you the same love I show my brother or my sister, yeah. And I want you guys to understand something menh, it’s one Africa, menh. We move together in numbers, baby. And I want you guys to know it.”.
